The 45th Giro d'Italia started on 19th May in Milano and arrived back on the 9th June in Milano.
Franco Balmamion won the race witho8t winning a single stage.
Balmamion took over the lead after the 16th stage.
From the 130 cyclists entered the competition, only 47 completed the route.
The 15th stage between Belluno and Passo Rolle on the 2nd of June was a snowy day in the Dolomites.
